Railcards: Discounted Train Travel

Railcards can reduce the cost of eligible train fares, commonly by one-third. Discounts, time restrictions and eligible fares vary by card; the 16–17 Saver has different terms.

If you regularly travel by train, alone or with family or friends, investing in a Railcard could give you great savings in the long run!

How does it work?

Most of the listed one-year Railcards cost £35 and selected three-year versions cost £80. The Disabled Persons Railcard costs £20 for one year or £54 for three years. Not every card has a three-year option; check each card’s current terms.

Buying methods vary by Railcard; check the current information for the card you need. When travelling on a discounted fare, carry the valid Railcard and any identification required by its terms.
